I finally got some new Birkenstocks! These are the ‘Alpro’ variety; seemingly slip-proof and with a longer lasting sole. The blue ones are 14 months old and positively dangerous in wet conditions.

Note on the purchase:

The Birkenstock shop is located on the first floor of the Lot 10 Mall in the Bukit Bintang area of Kuala Lumpur. The price was the same as you’d expect to pay in the UK, perhaps a few pounds less but nothing significant.
